Blue Earth Capital (BlueEarth) is a global, independent impact investment firm headquartered in Switzerland, with offices in New York, London, and Konstanz, and currently exploring an expanded presence in Madrid and/or Frankfurt. BlueEarth – through its funds and mandates - seeks to invest in businesses that help address pressing environmental and social challenges. It follows an integrated investment strategy aimed at generating both impact and top quartile financial returns. Its funds and mandates (separately managed accounts) invest across all impact sectors and geographies with focus on social impact in emerging markets and environmental impact in developed markets.

The role
Portfolio Management Advice is responsible for the strategic steering and day-to-day advising of all BlueEarth products, mandates and semi-liquid funds. This spans the firmwide asset management recommendations, oversight of the asset and liability management and liquidity, support of risk management and FOREX advice. The role will encompass:
Support ongoing portfolio management advice with regards to all BlueEarth products, including advising the liquidity management, investment level steering, performance optimization and recommending asset allocation.
Quant support to investment team activities through detailed market deep dives and forecasts
Deploy trading strategies to enhance returns and reduce downsides
Support ongoing fundraising activities with key performance insights
Continued development of BlueEarth’s risk management framework
Job requirements
What we expect
We are looking for a professional with the ability and willingness to excel within an entrepreneurial organization. The successful candidate should have:
University degree with strong academic background in a quantitative field (mathematics, physics, econometrics, economics or finance)
At least 2 years work experience in asset management, investment banking, or deal sourcing
Progression towards a professional certification (e.g. CFA, CAIA) desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and coding knowledge in Python
Excellent analytical, inter-personal, and written communication skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, additional languages a plus
Self-motivated team player with entrepreneurial mindset and strong attention to detail
